K9 Division

The Crawford County Sheriff's Office K9 team is led by Sgt. Jeremy Paton. The K9 team is regularly deployed in numerous ways to assist our deputies, outside agencies, and the community. K9 Leo is a German Shepherd/Malinois mix that was born in Poland and was purchased from Ventosa Kennels in Scotland Neck, North Carolina.K9 Leo has been in service since 2019.

Leo is certified through MPCA as a dual-purpose working dog trained in narcotics detection, tracking, suspect apprehension, and handler protection.
