Major Adam Carnal

Adam Carnal graduated from the Eastern Missouri Law Enforcement Training Academy in 2004 and joined the Crawford County Sheriff's Office in 2005 as a Patrol Deputy. He has been serving Crawford County residents in different capacities since that time, not only as a municipal officer and reserve deputy but as a juvenile officer as well. Sheriff Layman appointed Major Carnal as Undersheriff in May of 2018. Major Carnal is also a graduate of the FBI National Academy Session 287 held in the summer of 2023. The Undersheriff serves in the role of the "Assistant Sheriff" and acts as the department head in the absence of the Sheriff. The Undersheriff works directly under the Sheriff and oversees the daily overall operations of the Sheriff's Office, which includes the AdministrationPatrol Division, Criminal Investigation Division, Jail Division, Civil Process, School Resource Officer Division, and Court Security Division

 

Lt. Eric Wilbanks CID

Lieutenant Eric Wilbanks

Eric Wilbanks graduated from the Missouri Sheriff's Association Training Academy in 2002 and joined the Howell County Sheriff's Office. He joined a municipal agency in 2005 before joining the Crawford County Sheriff's Office in 2006 as a patrol deputy. He obtained the rank of Patrol Corporal in 2012. In 2014 he transferred to the Drug Task Force where he remained until 2017. In 2017 he joined the Gasconade County Sheriff's Office as the Chief Deputy and served in that role until May of 2019, before returning to the Crawford County Sheriff's Office. He returned as a Detective Sergeant in the Criminal Investigations Division, before being promoted to his current position as the Division Commander of the Criminal Investigations unit in October 2020.

 

 

Lt. Tammy Peart

Lieutenant Tammy Peart

Lt. Peart joined the Crawford County Sheriff's Office in November 2013 as a Jail Officer. She attended and graduated from the Missouri Sheriff's Association Training Academy in 2017. Upon graduation, she was assigned to the Jail and later obtained the rank of Corporal. In September of 2018, she was appointed to her current role as Jail Administrator. In 2023, Lt Peart graduated from the National Institute of Jail Operations with a certification as a National Certified Corrections Executive.

 

Lt. Brad Brooks

Lt. Brad Brooks

Lt. Brad Brooks graduated from Mineral Area College's Police Academy in 2010 and joined the Crawford County Sheriff's Office that same year. In 2012, he elected to serve his country and enlisted in the United States Army, where he served for 7 years obtaining the rank of Sergeant. In March of 2020, he returned to the Crawford County Sheriff's Office as a patrol deputy. Later that year he obtained the rank of Sergeant and held that role until he was promoted to his current position in June of 2021.

Teresa Hickey

Teresa Hickey joined the Crawford County Sheriff's Office in 2012 as a receptionist. Teresa was promoted to Office Manager in 2014 and has maintained that role along with the responsibility as the Sheriff's administrative assistant. In addition, Teresa oversees the Administration/Clerical Division of the Sheriff's Office.
